Our Construction Management approach provides you with a Financial Roadmap to guide you through the multiple phases involved in designing and building your home. At the same time we monitor your budget, we also make sure your individual lifestyle desires and needs are reflected and met, never losing sight of the budget goal versus actual cost. Land Acquisition
Whether you choose to build on one of our lots or if you already own a lot or you simply need help in finding a piece of property, MCJ Builders can help. Our team will guide you in selecting the perfect site based on your specific lifestyle needs and budget goals. Our "Properties" page showcases available home sites and is a great place to start.
Site Planning
Some of the things to consider are the placement of the garage, orientation of the sun, and existing or future green areas. Once your site is selected, MCJ Builders will advise you in establishing your building parameters, provide you with a site plan, and initiate the designing of your dream home.
Home Design Process
Once the site plan is approved, the design of your dream home begins. There are several essential professionals needed during this phase. Working along with you, there will be MCJ Builders Staff, an Architect, and an Interior Designer/Decorator. We contract only the highest skilled architects and designers capable of realizing your dreams.
You will receive a preliminary concept of your dream home, and upon approval, a retainer is required to create a complete set of conceptual drawings. If you already have building plans, MCJ Builders will still be delighted to provide you with a cost estimate for building your home. Entering a Construction Contract
Upon approval of the conceptual drawings and acceptance of the terms of the MCJ Builder's Bid, a clear and detailed construction contract is executed for building your custom home.
Approval of Final Construction Drawings
Once the blueprints for your dream home are approved and construction permits are issued by the appropriate city building department, construction begins.
The Selection Process
The Selection Process is typically the most fun and exciting phase of building your custom home. This is the stage when all of your ideas, magazine tear outs, collection of color samples and paint chips, all come together. MCJ Builders has expertise in product quality and performance, can advise you on pros and cons of specific materials, and will keep the selection process completely organized and documented.
Custom Home Construction
MCJ builds your home using the most superior construction materials permitted by your budget. Your home will be completed in the most timely and efficient manner possible. During construction, we realize you may want to make some changes, which is why our effective communication and information exchange is crucial during this phase. All parties are thoroughly informed on a timely basis, available to discuss questions and concerns, and ready with knowledgeable responses.
Schedule Closing
Upon completion of the construction phase, MCJ will schedule a final inspection of your new home and closing.
